I confess, I’ve never been to the NYC store, but I love the look of the new Herman Miller Tokyo store. Via Herman Miller’s website: “Designed by Torafu Architects and located in the hip Marunouchi shopping district, it’s full of wonderfully designed items, large and small, including limited-edition Eames molded plastic side chars painted by Japanese artist Mustone and unique area rugs developed in collaboration with photographer Takashi Kumagai.”
